Why #lovebigger?

During the course of events prior to Mike’s funeral and in the weeks after, the volume of people that shared moments of kindness, service, love, and special things that Mike did, without many others knowing, was overwhelming. Mike was a gentle giant.

Mike went out of his way, in many extra special ways, to serve young kids who struggled with diabetes, to help youth in South Salt Lake get out of the slums, learn, get an education, and establish a career. Kirk continued to hear story after story of things that he did, that were not part of his job and not something he was getting paid for. There were things he would do without any recognition. He served higher and loved bigger to everyone around him, even his enemies. This is why we need to live that legacy. This is what his kids need to remember and know him. None of this was ever known when Mike lived because he wouldn't tell anybody. It’s now our opportunity to share HIS big heart, HIS big love, and HIS big service that he constantly provided without any recognition.

This foundation not only allows for Mike and his legacy to live on and to help support children of fallen officers, it allows an opportunity for people who were touched by Mike’s kindness and selflessness to return the love to others. To #lovebigger means to perform acts of kindness, service, love, and inspire others to achieve their potential and become bigger and better versions of themselves.
